Late January, we welcomed Vanessa Scheele, a student of Industrial Psychology at Cologne University to Muizenberg / Cape Town. She is visiting to gain some insights into our work and is supporting us with a market research study regarding Leadership Development requirements in South African companies.
Leadership Development is a growing subject in South Africa. The focus we recognise so far is on developing employees’ leadership skills to increase effectiveness and efficiency as well as to secure leadership succession in the organisation. The key to Leadership Development is a review of the skills available, identification of skills needed and the implementation of measures based on this analysis.
The main topics Vanessa is speaking to CEOs and HR Managers about are:
– Leadership development wish-list
– Past experiences with leadership development
– Link between Leadership Development and Diversity Management
We’re looking forward to important insights for consultants and leaders alike and wish Vanessa a multitude of interesting experiences during her time in South Africa.
A summary of results will be made available to participating companies at the end of March 2014.
